Colorado Mudjacking vs. Concrete Removal

How does concrete replacement compare to Colorado mudjacking?
As a mudjacking company we get this question a lot so we want to put it to rest for anyone considering which option to choose. As a mudjacking contractor we will say it depends on three factors:
Cost
Colorado mudjacking is typically much cheaper than replacement. By much cheaper we are typically looking at about 1/4th the cost of removal and replacement. That means you could actually do mudjacking four times before you reach the cost of replacement, not that you will need to because in most cases mudjacking is as permanent solution as replacement.
Time
If you are looking the fastest solution mudjacking is definitely the way to go. With mudjacking there is no down time and you can walk on your repaired concrete immediately. This is much easier than removal and replacement, which depending on the application may take several days before it can be used again.
Appearance
Sometimes sunken concrete floors begin to crack. Unfortunately mudjacking cannot repair the appearance of cracked or broken concrete. Colorado mudjacking can raise the concrete, making it solid and level but the cracks will remain. Also with mudjacking there will be holes drilled in the concrete to pump the concrete mix underneath. These holes are patched but will still be visible. Therefore if this is a driveway and you hate the look of cracks it may be best to do a replacement. If it is a basement that will be covered with carpet mudjacking will be a great solution.
